It's hard not to love the Italian brand Maserati, with its rich racing heritage and impressive pedigree. Their recent return to the GT market has been highly anticipated, and the unveiling of the stunning new MC20 did not disappoint. This lightweight supercar boasts an elegant design and a sleek, understated profile – a far cry from its competitors' bold and aggressive looks. But don't be fooled by its subtle appearance – Maserati has transformed the MC20 into a monster.

Maserati's all-new GT2 is undergoing rigorous testing before its highly-anticipated debut. The 24 Hours of Spa will mark the first time in years that Maserati has showcased their racing expertise with this stunning new GT2 model. Despite a recent focus on their impressive line-up of performance SUVs, it's reassuring that Maserati isn't ready to hang up their helmets just yet.

A 463 kW V6 is the power unit of choice for this track gremlin. While seeing a Maserati V8 racing motor in action would have been a treat, the focus here is on maximizing speed and minimizing weight. This lightweight ethos is reflected in the car's composite bodywork, which is both robust and light. The ultra-lightweight monocoque cabin further reinforces this emphasis on keeping the car as lightweight as possible. This sleek single-seater is swathed in carbon fibre, with the interior boasting a matching aesthetic, complete with a carbon-finished dash and a 10" digital display that caters to the driver's every need.

Maserati borrowed a lot of inspiration from current F1 regulations, like their patented MTC (Maserati Twin Combustion) Technology and an advanced aero dynamics system which increases downforce whilst limiting drag as efficiently as possible.

Despite its spectacular shape, the paint which will be glowing on this car is simplistic yet gorgeous. Maserati has chosen to go with Blu Infinito, which complements the car perfectly. Maserati is quite fond of this new project and has placed their distinct trident all over this car.

The Maserati GT2 has plenty of work before its much-anticipated unveiling, as the Maserati racing team is implementing an extensive program to bring this powerhouse up to modern racing standards. While it remains to be seen whether the GT2 will make waves in the racing world, there's no doubt that this car will be the talk of the town once it hits the championship circuit. With its sleek design, impressive performance specs, and Maserati's reputation for evoking emotion, the GT2 will surely be one to watch.
