Suzuki Ertiga gets mid-cycle refresh
Suzuki is giving its Ertiga range a mid-cycle facelift for the 2022 model year to keep it fresh in the MPV segment.
Previously, the Ertiga was made up of three variants: GA. GL and GLX, however, the latter has been deleted from the range for a beefed-up GL model.
Speaking of the updates, the range-opening GA kicks off the range with halogen projector headlights with LED combination taillights, electric windows, power steering, air conditioning, front-ventilated cup holders plus a 12V charging socket placed in the front centre console as standard.
The GA now receives ESP and rear parking sensors as standard. Other standard safety features include two front airbags ABS brakes with Emergency Brakeforce Distribution, Brake Assistance and ISOFIX-certified anchor points for child seats.
The GL on the other hand, sits on top of the range and comes with visual aesthetics such as a new patterned chrome grille and brand new 15" alloy wheels with chrome detailing. The interior features a new full-colour 7" touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The new infotainment system incorporates a reverse camera and a multi-functional steering wheel with Bluetooth. Suzuki has also thrown cruise control into this specification level. Other comfort features include a centre armrest, storage box between the front seats, a remote-controlled central locking system, a 50:50 split rearmost bench, as well as an auto function for the driver's electric window.
The 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine continues to power the range with 77 kW and 138 Nm of torque. The unit is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Like before, all Ertiga models are sold with a 5-year/200,000 km promotional warranty and a 4-year/60,000 km service plan.
