Jaguar has given its F-Pace SVR an update

Following the introduction of the refreshed Jaguar F-Pace range, the Whitley-based carmaker is giving its SVR model an update. 

Priced at R1,835,700, the updated Jaguar F-Pace SVR is now available for purchase in Mzansi and comes with a host of upgrades. 

Powering the F-Pace SVR is the now familiar 5.0-litre V8 Supercharged petrol engine that develops 405 kW and a torque figure that has been increased by 20 Nm to 700 Nm. The new Jaguar F-Pace SVR blisters from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds making it three-tenths faster than the outgoing model. It will continue to accelerate until it reaches a top speed of 286 km/h all the while shuffling through an 8-speed automatic transmission. 

The new Jaguar F-Pace SVR features a standard all-wheel-drive with Intelligent Driveline. According to the carmaker, the brake-feel has also been improved thanks to the new Integrated Power Booster. 

The exterior features new apertures and vents for better brake and engine cooling. Jaguar has also tweaked the F-Pace SVR’s airflow and aerodynamics for 35% better downforce. . 

For the first time, the new Jaguar F-Pace SVR is available with the Black Pack option that adds  Gloss Black finish on the grille surround, bonnet louvres, front bumper apertures, sill trims and rear valance. With the package, the rear badges are finished in Gloss Black. 

The F-Pace SVR can be fitted with the optional 22” ‘Style 5117’ forged wheels with a five-spoke design with a Gloss Black finish and Satin Technical Grey inserts. 

The new Jaguar F-Pace SVR features a tweaked interior that comes courtesy of seat and door inserts covered in Alcantara. The central cubby and midroll are covered in Windsor leather. 

The 12.3” HD Interactive Driver Display is wrapped in Alcantara with ebony stitching while bits of the interior get the aluminium-patterned finishing as standard. Open-pore carbon fibre is available as an option. 

In line with the standard F-Pace models, the SVR is equipped with Pivi Pro infotainment and an all-new 11.4” HD curved glass touchscreen, Software-Over-Air capability, Active Road Noise Cancellation as well as the latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. A wireless device charging pad is optional. 

Buyers can fit slimline semi-aniline leather sports seats as optional. The new Jaguar F-Pace SVR also gets the new Drive Selector and split-rim steering wheel. 

The new Jaguar F-Pace comes with a standard 5-year/100,000 km Jaguar Care Plan and warranty.
