Pirelli unveils F1 tyres
We’re in for a cracker of a F1 season if Pirelli is to be believed. The Italian tyre maker kicked off their 2013 Formula One campaign by unveiling a new range of dry and wet-weather tyres.
Sporting a new orange coat, they’ve been designed to increase thermal degradation ensuring at least two pit stops per race, upping the driver’s chances of overtaking. The Italian manufacturer also claims that the new slick tyres could ensure faster lap times.
This could give rise to a few surprises in the upcoming season, with new winners and emerging talent being imminent. Could the new Pirelli tyres be the catalyst behind the thrilling 2013 season? We certainly hope so.
