Pink Lamborghini makes dream come true
Getting a chance to drive in a pink Lamborghini, driven by Richard Hammond, was a dream come true for young Emilia Palmer.
Organised by children’s charity group Rays of Sunshine, the eight-year-old who suffers from a severe lung condition, received a pleasant surprise last Sunday when the TopGear presenter knocked on her door.
The two then drove to a nearby airfield to take the Aventador for a proper test-drive.
Afterward Emilia’s mother Rachel said, “We are so grateful to Rays of Sunshine and everyone involved for making every aspect of Emilia’s wish happen. It’s not until something awful happens that you get to find out how kind people can be.”
With the help of various organizations the charity managed to secure a white roadster from H. R. Owen, a luxury car dealership based in the United Kingdom. The car was painted pink for the occasion.
Richard Hammond later admitted that, “It was a real privilege to be asked to make a contribution to such an inspiring, positive, unique and uplifting occasion. Emilia was charming and wonderful. There was every chance she could have been shy, but she chatted nonstop.”
